Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

Last week, I saw this movie "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind"

The only positive in this was that I went in to watch the movie with a open mind, with a hint of cynicism hidden.

But out came a man, who had a lot on his mind. Nothing new was said, by the way it was said was - what was new and truly refreshing - for me at least!

We always long for what we have not, we dream of flying, when we can hardly walk, there’s nothing wrong in dreaming, but most stop at that - and that is the sorry fact ladies and gentlemen

The movie talks of two people, normal ordinary inconspicuous like any one of us - but the way the message has been handled - my kudos to the director

I cant say its a movie, feels more like the documentary i guess it is - almost boring at times, but a must watch from me to anybody who read this, look at what the author wants to say and not what he has said in the first place

Look at the unsaid things; they make more things clear that saying them at all

After all we just need to stop a moment and hear ourselves speak literally - no need to look any further than our heart

A must see in my book

Chennai Chocked

The last few months have been amazing. For any stretch of my imagination could have I predicted this weather, this monsoon season. We had rains before, good ones, but never so many, so many times that I started to have doubts if the weather gods had mistaken Chennai for some other place

On one hand, there is the comfort of a less water scare city, but that is not here now, today, that is what we expect Chennai to be in the neat future.

Chennai now, has been battered by these rains, more may follow. This may not augur well for the residents of the already marooned city and suburban places, but it brings in relief, the total lack of respect for nature and the total scavenging of what little resource exists in this already exhausted eroded mother earth.

Keeping in mind, that the rain harvesting was initiated makes this all the more appropriate. Destruction of whatever left little greenery and marsh lands in and around Chennai also have added to the woes.

And this is for me, is just the beginning, with no end but a tunnel of darkness ahead, unless the authorities get some sense into their greedy minds.
